Dear colleagues, friends and participants,

We are pleased to invite you to the 9th International Scientific Meeting “DAYS OF VETERINARY MEDICINE – 2022” to be held in Metropol Lake Resort, Ohrid, R. of North Macedonia, from 22 to 25 September, 2022.

The event is intended to be attractive for all researchers, veterinary practitioners, official veterinarians, professors, PhD and post-doctoral students, offering an excellent opportunity to discuss the challenges and ongoing issues in the veterinary education and science. The meeting will retain the traditional popular format, including a number of invited plenary lectures, short presentations and poster presentations, on the following topics: animal health, animal welfare and reproduction, as well as public health and food safety. It will also provide workshops for practitioners and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns as well as practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the fields of animal health, reproduction and clinical sciences.
Prospective authors are kindly encouraged to contribute to and help shape the congress through submissions of their research abstracts, papers and posters that address themes and topics of the congress, including figures, tables and references of novel research materials. 

We sincerely hope that this will be a unique opportunity for you to present your recent research work and results. Additionally, through the networking events and created intellectual atmosphere, you will be able to meet, discuss and exchange ideas with your new and old colleagues in various fields. Briefly, these days will broaden new horizons and fulfill your work with ideas, friends and enjoyment.

Additionally, when saying “Macedonia” think of a warm hospitality, breathtaking nature and places with historical significance, irresistibly delicious cuisine, and music inspired by tradition. This will all be reflected in our social program, with numerous events presenting the flavor of Macedonia, and it’s people.

The event is intended to be attractive for all researchers, veterinary practitioners, official veterinarians, professors, PhD and post-doctoral students, offering a great opportunity to discuss the challenges and ongoing issues in the veterinary education and science.

Covered all scientific and technological aspects of veterinary sciences such as: anatomy, histology and embriology, physiology, biochemistry, animal welfare, pharmacology and toxicology, microbiology with immunology, pathology, public health, food safety quality, parasitology, infectious diseases, clinical sciences, reproduction of animals, veterinary economy, alternative veterinary medicine and other biomedical as well medical fields

Mission of FVM-S is realized via organizing study, transfer of knowledge, development and promotion of the education and science in veterinary health in RM, development of creative abilities, preparing students for profession of doctor of veterinary medicine which needs professional knowledge and ability for scientific approach in the work, promoting of the technological development of the veterinary profession and building positions for the future.

Ohrid

Ohrid – a city in the southwestern part of Macedonia, on the northeast coast of Lake Ohrid, which also has its name based on the city. Ohrid and Lake Ohrid are one of the main tourist destinations in Macedonia. Due to the large number of churches and monasteries, the city is known as the Balkan and European Jerusalem. Ohrid is also known as the “city of light”, a literal translation of its old name, Lychnidos. The Ohrid region is included in the UNESCO World Heritage. Modern Ohrid is the heir of the ancient Lychnidos.
